Red Wing Builds a Hovercraft

The first Thursday of the month is our aerospace night, this month 1st Lt Leverton had the squadron build a hovercraft, this was big success, they even load test it with the Commander, the cadet got a big kick out of taking a turn of riding in the lawn chair and of pushing the Commander around the hanger.

Bennyhoff Mitchell Award

On May 23, 2019 Red Wing Squadron’s
C/2dLt Skyler G Bennyhoff was presented the General Billy Mitchell Award

With the help of Alievo Museum,
C/2dLt Skyler G Bennyhoff cut the cermony cake with a sword.

Flower Fundraiser

On May 9 the flower for our fundraiser were delivered, the colors were gorgeous, Gerten’s delivered some very full and beautiful plants.

the flowers were delivered the Thursday before Mothers Day, be watching for next year, this is just an awesome gift for your mother.

April 11

April 11 weather prevented some cadets from making it to the meeting, the ones that did make it to the meeting, were given opportunity play with a drone.

Sandbagging

On Tuesday March 26 The Red Wing Squadron responded to a call for help from the Red Wing Conservation Club. The Conservation Club House was in danger of flooding, five members responded by sandbagging the house. Between 1400 and 2000 we fill over 700 sandbags, this was greatly appreciated for the flood water did rise overnight to a level of 1 foot on the house.
